We hope you enjoy reading this months edition which includes the 2012 schedules for BSU fellowship events and Operation Shoe Box items collection, plus information on Ash Wednesday Service, Wednesday Lenten Vesper Services and Friday Lenten Luncheons.  Also included is information on "Living Water" contemporary service, "living by Faith: The Book of Hebrews" bible study, a congregational dinner to honor Pastor Ruff, and the annual congregational meeting summary.  You will not want to miss the spaghetti supper, the valentines dinner or the movie of the month "Mr. Popper's Penguins".  Be sure to print a copy of this newsletter for reference throughout the month.
This issue includes all the Christmas services and events, as well as youth activities, confirmation news, and fundraising events. Join us for Dinner and a Movie, Christmas Caroling, the Annual Christmas Dinner and Party/Hanging of the Greens, and Christmas Eve Candlelight Service as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.  Also included is information on our annual congregational meeting in January. Be sure to print a copy for reference.
November is a busy month at BSU as we finish the church year.  Sunday morning services in November include: All Saints Sunday, Harvest Home Sunday, Christ The King Sunday, and the First Sunday in Advent which begins the new church year.  Check out the "delicious and decorative" fundraisers, youth and fellowship events.  And, you will not want to miss the 2nd Annual Holiday Craft Bazaar.  All this and more is happening in November and all the details are in this issue of the BSULC newsletter. 
We start October with Rally Day and Youth Sunday, and end with Reformation Sunday. Throughout the month there are special services, including Blessing of the Animals, Living Water, and a Healing Service. There are fellowship and youth events and fundraisers, including a ghost tour, turkey dinner, halloween party, and walk-a-thon. Read your newsletter for details on all of the above. You will want to print a copy for reference.
Check it out!  Lots of exciting news from Big Spring United. Your September newsletter is attached and it is full of news and activities for fall, including information on:  the 2nd Annual Brenda Wheeler Scholarship Music Festival, a new contemporary service, a new youth Sunday school class, Rally Day, and youth activities. Affirmation/Confirmation Class, Let’s Have Fun Together, and Brown Bags and Bibles will resume this Fall. Did you know we sold the Bloserville building?  Read all about it in this issue.  And, as always, we have included lots of photos.  Enjoy!
